Current evidence
The clearest published findings are preclinical. Cell studies reported telomere-related changes, while a mouse study did not change mean lifespan although some ageing-related measures differed from controls.
Important limitations
Cell cultures and animal models do not establish safety or benefit in people. Molecular endpoints are not patient outcomes, and the published human clinical evidence base remains unclear and limited.
